Hey guys I need some help.  I am going to be fishing the missouri this weekend launching out of Bismarck.  I have never fished this area before.  My only river exprience is around Hazelton and Linton.  The guy I am fishing with has not fished there either.  If a guy goes out by the interstate 94 which way should we go north or south?  How far until you hit better fishing areas?  Are there trouble spots?  I generally fish bottembouncers and spinners, will I have trouble with this method more then usual.  Any tips or advise would be helpful and appreciated.

I see there are several reports in the fishing reports that are shinning some light on things for me but any additional comments or help would be nice.  Sometimes it pays to read before you post!!!!!

I'm not sure how fishing is around town but just to let you know if it's nice out this weekend you will have to put up with pontoons, jetskis, ski boats, and jerks that don't know how to slow down or give you space.

Get up early,  beat the crowd.  Fish the same way you would down at Hazelton the last few years.   Sandbar edges,  slack water,  bb will work.

If you are serious about catching some fish do yourself a favor and drive to the rifle range or farther south. If you wanna get some sun and maybe catch a couple while checking out all the cute gurls that you forgot exist around here because of our LONG winter, stick around Bismarck.

considering our wives are going to be with, south sounds safer, although ...never mind I swear she has a third eye on the back of her head.  besides I've gotten so old I'd probalby have a heart attack, I had better stick to catching fish!

I know some guys have been having pretty good luck down around the desert area pitching jigs/minnows into the shallows.  Takes a little work to find them but when you do the have been getting pretty easy limits of 18-25" fish.  Of course they also know what they are doing a lot more than me, but at least they prove that it is possible.

Considering the recent storm, you might want to try the Washburn area!
