Maintaining a private station is very expensive and emotionally taxing. I invested in one years ago and it has been quite an extensive task keeping up with the all the demanding needs and up grades. I would recommend paying a small remittance fee for a public station, although I recommend extensive cleaning prior to use. For those of us that already aquirred a private one we have no alternative but to keep using them.
I do not have a problem with him putting the dog down, He is right, it is his dog, if the dog is causing problems, what ever they are and I as the owner choose to put the dog down, that is fine and as it should be. It is the presence of anger, or malice and the method that is used. No matter what animal is being put down a quick and definate kill needs to be made and made sure of. Unneccessary suffering or torture for any animal needs to be investigated.
If I get this right, warm, wet fall with cold snowy winter accumulating above average snow pack....does that lead to more spring flooding??? Everything is already full of water! I do hope they are wrong---!
They must get Lee or they will not win the division. They will lose at least one starter before the rest of the year is done. They need a shut down pitcher, confidence and something to spark them. A couple unproven prospects at postions they have filled for years to come is worth the trade for Lee for 1/2 a season and a spark.
You know the pitching has been poor but where are the bats??? The brewers have crap for pitching and the twins can't score more then a handful of runs. Cuddy is sucking it up, Mauer is only getting hits when it does not matter, Justin M is hitting but not with runners on, Kubel went cold again, span is really sucking it up, If i was not for Delmon Young the team would have lost twice the game they have the last couple weeks.
I've heard so many people on this site and elsewhere say "it takes a large x amount of water to raise that lake 1 inch" How many feet has it risen the last year? We've had some snow but not that much. No BIG rain events..why then is the water still running, still rising. I would bet there are many springs in the out lying area's that are pushing water out of the ground...I certainly have no real idea and am no expert by any means nor qualified in geology but man it sure seems something unspoken is happening.
As long as there is pressure from Sakakawea on the aquafers Devils Lake will continue to rise. Devils Lake was fairly stable the last couple years while Sakakawea was low. Now it is high again and the lake is raising fast. In the same way areas like Woodworth, Medina, Gackle, Kulm and such are having huge water issues due to the pressures from Devils Lake on the aquafers down there. I don't believe snow, rain and run off are the main cause of these massive problems. We have been wet before and never had these major issues. There has to be something more that is causing this and bulging pressure on aguafers is the only idea that sames to fit. I really don't know but it sounds plausable.
There is a kennel in Eldridge that I hear is good, I have not used them but have a couple co-workers that have and they speak highly of them. It would be on your way to BIsmarck.
