Has anyone stayed at this place. How did it go. I am possibly going ice fishing in a week or two. Thanks for any help.

Stayed the weekend of New Years and rented a fish house the weekend of the derby. Kyle runs a first class operation, wish we could have stayed the weekend of the derby but he was booked. Gorgeous restaurant and a great little bar facing the lake, the rooms were clean, and all of the employees were very courteous. In short, you can't go wrong, have fun.

Woodlands is a first class place.  Stayed there this past summer over the 4th of July and had a blast.  They run a tight ship!  Am going back next weekend to try my luck on the ice with woodlands....planning on another great time with them!  Would recommend them!!!

if you are gonna spend the night, the packages are a great price.  75 bucks a head includes the house and a hotel room

Stayed there a couple of years ago and was not impressed.  Rented houses on both days we were there and fishing was slow.  The second day the resort didn't even bank the house, we had to do it our selves.  Guy who took us out said that we "shouldn't expect to much."  Well I'd at least expect them to bank the house.  The cabin we stayed in was nice though.

Stayed there just this past weekend and have to say they have a very nice place.  We rented one of the cabins which was very clean and well set up but if you don't like heights watch out for those top bunks.  Darned near need a lift to get in and out of them.  ;)

We rented an ice house and I believe it cost us $150 for the day.  Holes were already drilled and house was nice and toasty when we got there.  Didn't have to bank it but then again I've never had much trouble with throwing a few shovel fulls of snow either.
