Photo Description:
Zoey isn't afraid of much.  In fact, I'm sure adrenaline is ripping through her body now.  She has as much enthusiasm I've seen in any dog.  I use to say that about Remmy but he can't keep up with her.  It isn't age either, Zoey is just a nut case.

Anyway, my uncle found an abandoned canoe in a road side ditch.  The other weekend my dad, him and myself did some banging and prying.  Dad took it out for a cruise on the big lake.  Yeah, it isn't a slough, it is a back water area of Sakakawea.  In 1997 I backed up dump trucks releasing concrete waste to protect the road.

P.S.  Looks like I better take Zoey's place next time with the bow and arrow!

Nice! Yeah I saw quite a few guys at Deepwater back in the bays shooting carp. I wish I never sold my reel. Still have a couple arrows though.

Back in '97 we didn't need carp arrows. The fish were in the flooded grass in less than a foot of water. we would wade through the water real slow and shoot them about 5' in front of us. The aluminum arrows worked perfect because you basically skewered them into the mud. It was awesome!

Yeah I guess I should get some of the old arrows out of the box and do that.  It is a swamp land down at Reunion.

kind of like this pigsticker? Went to this spot this weekend with the boat and it is 8-10 feet now. These fish couldn't go underwater because there backs were deeper than the water.
Go big or go home
